Hi there, welcome to the Revitinfo.com Forum!
I think I understand your question, but I need some more info...are the imported furniture DWG objects or what? How did you import them? Did you check to see that they had materials applied to them? I assume you can see them in the shaded 3D view before you render? _______________

yes, the furniture I bring in is a dwg from haworth office furniture. They do have the materials already set so when you view in shaded theres something on it. I found their materials and replaced them with the real ones I needed, they show correct in shaded view. When I go to render they then show up all white. |

Hi again,
Yeah, honestly, I haven't had a tremendous amount of success Rendering imported DWG files, although I haven't tested it extensively either.
What version of Revit are you using and I can give it a whirl...would you mind attaching one the DWG files you imported in so I could test? Attaching the project file would be even better so I could see your settings, etc and help you troubleshoot it.
Always glad to help _______________

You can post it here...just use the attachments Tab when you are creating a new post...it will allow large files, but if you don't mind, purge everything out of the file before posting, just to keep the file size down...if it's 20-30 mb, just give it some time to process, it could take 2-3 mins to post.
If that doesn't work for you, I can give you an email you can send it to. _______________

Can you post the Rvt file too? It would help to make sure I can see the settings of your file. Again, the forum can recieve large files, just give it some time when you upload. _______________

hi.."magandang araw sa iyo kaibigan" (good day to you )..i used to import some objects before in revit..and i had no problem rendering it..when i hav to..first thing i do is i need to layer my dwg file ..because u can only add material to your object through their layers..just go to objects styles in revit, and go to imported objects tab..and you can see there your imported dwg file..now you can add material to your 3d objects through their layers..hope this helps.ciao. |
