Autodesk will in the next few days be releasing some great new enhancements to all of the Revit products. Model Review Revit DB Link Image Modeler Special shortcut menus with filtering to find commands Enhanced text editing. Curved Beams Slanted Columns Slab Direction and decking. Beam coping tool Wood wall framing. Interference checking of rebar 64 bit version of AutoCAD Structural Detailing Mep performance improvements around electrical circuits. Added temporary dimensions in layout mode. New content for Communications, fire safety, security, data, nurse call, power. In all, 130 to 160 new families added. Wood framing extensions Formatting shortcuts for bold, italic and underline Enhanced bridge design tools Bidirectional linking with Revit Structure and Civil 3D for bridges Calculate weight and tons of steel Revit MEP temporary dimensions Find and replace feature Shortcuts show up when hovering over ribbon items Export shortuct menus for importing into other user's desktops Model Review validates accuracy and consistency against company standards or client standards. Looks inside model to validate model and objects. Includes firm, GSA, energy modeling and content checking. Check within current and linked model. Rather than releasing separate extensions like they have done in the past, Autodesk have bundled these all up as a complete release with a number of new features which is due October 22 (2 Days time if all goes well) improvements include:- Enable shortcuts for additional commands Additional shortcut commands A new UI to control the shortcuts Conditional formatting in all products DWG export improvements Text formatting – from shortcuts Find and replace text Model lines to Detail lines and back Link file improvements API improvements Autodesk Revit Model Review Revit DBlink Image modeler will now be included so you can create point cloud data from images and export this to DWG and import this into Revit Wood Wall Framing tool Revit Architecture gets all the features they wanted from a Revit Structure Port: Curved beams Beam copping Create Trusses Tag beam systems Slab directions and decking Slanted columns Split with Gap Revit Structure advantage features will also include:- Insulation tool Placing 3d beams from geometry references in imported 3d drawings Control beam length tolerance Wood Framing Interferences of Reinforcing bars Bridge Design Modules "A" ansd "W" User defined parameters to be available in Schedule Field Placing 3D beams from geometry references in imported 3D drawings Countrification Content for China, Russia and Italy ADS now available in 64 bit Structure Extensions Wood Framing Interference of Reinforcing Bars Bridge Design Modules Revit MEP advantages features will also include:- Temporary dimensions in layout mode MEP performance improvements Content Countrification for China, Russia,UK, International New Electrical content for the US to be available as download from Subsription Centre Communications, Fire Safety, Security, Data, Nurse Call, Power. Below is a list of things to be aware of when browsing through the Revitinfo.com Forum:

1) As a registered user at Revitinfo, you automatically are signed up to recieve emails any time a new post or reply to existing post is made. You can change this setting while logged in under your User Profile by clicking on your user name at the top right of any page, next to the Date (or by clicking on the My Profile Button on any Forum Page). Once you get here, click on the "Edit Profile" link below your Quick Profile Information. Finally, select "Manage Profile" and scroll down the the very bottom to change your forum email subscription Settings.

2) Each Entry must have an assigned Category and EntryType. Not all categories have subcategories, but if the category you pick has subcategories, please pick the most appropriate for your entry.

3) Only registered, logged-in users have the privledges to create posts, reply to posts, and view attachments of posts. Registration is free, and like any other forum, is our way of increasing forum functionality and security.

4) As a registered user, you will also have the ability to subscribe to threads individually, rate them, and view a list of your posts. You can also edit posts that you have made. Also, as a registered user at Revitinfo, you automatically are signed up to recieve emails any time a new post or reply to existing post is made. You can change this setting while logged in uder your User Profile by clicking on your user name at the top right of any page, next to the Date. Once you get here, click on the "Edit Profile" button below your Quick Profile Information. Finally, select "Manage Profile to change your profile Settings.

5) Soon, there will be a way for users to request other categories/SubCategories via a request form. Currently, for our system to work the way it has been designed, the category and subcategories as well as EntryTypes must remain a standard for all users of the site, in order to make searching/browsing information faster and easier.
